What we do

Every job, whatever the size, done properly.

We handle the whole bathroom — strip-out, plumbing, tiling, fitting and finishing — so you deal with one team and one price.

Full bathroom refits

Back to bare walls and built again — new layout, new suite, new pipework, tiling and lighting, handed over ready to use.

Bathroom refurbishment

Keep what's sound, replace what isn't. A refreshed suite, re-tile, new taps and fixtures — a big change without the full rip-out.

Bespoke fitted furniture

Vanity units, storage and boxing-in made to measure for awkward alcoves, sloping ceilings and rooms where off-the-shelf won't do.

Walk-in showers & wet rooms

Level-access showers, glass screens and fully tanked wet rooms — built with the waterproofing done right underneath.

Wall & floor tiling

Large-format porcelain, metro, herringbone or hex — set out so cuts are hidden, lines run true and grout lines meet where they should.

Fixtures, taps & finishing

Taps, showers, towel rails, mirrors and accessories fitted and sealed — the details that make a bathroom feel finished.

Two ways in

Refurbish it, or start from scratch?

Not every bathroom needs ripping out. We'll tell you honestly which route makes sense for your room and your budget.

Route A

Refurbished

The layout works — it just looks tired. We keep the bones and transform the finish.

  • Keep the existing layout and pipe runs
  • New suite, taps, tiling or panelling
  • Usually a shorter job with less disruption
  • Good when the budget needs to go further

Route B

Bespoke

You want a room that's yours — designed around how you live, not what fits the catalogue.

  • Layout planned from scratch, moves included
  • Made-to-measure furniture and storage
  • Walk-in showers, wet rooms, statement baths
  • Finishes and fixtures chosen with you

Tile planner

Picture the finish before a single tile goes up.

Pick a laying pattern, a tile colour and a grout. It's a quick way to see what you like — bring your favourite to the quote visit and we'll take it from there.

How it works

Four steps. No surprises.

  1. 01

    Visit & measure

We come out, look at the room, check what's behind the walls where we can and listen to what you want.

  2. 02

    Plan & price

You get a clear, itemised quote — refurb or bespoke — so you know exactly what's included before you commit.

  3. 03

    Strip-out & build

Dust sheets down, old suite out, then plumbing, boarding, waterproofing, tiling and fitting — kept tidy each day.

  4. 04

    Finish & hand over

Silicone, fixtures, a full clean and a walk-round together. We're not done until you're happy with it.

About Heavyweight

Solid work. Straight talking.

I'm Wayne, and Heavyweight Bathrooms is built on a simple idea: a bathroom gets used every single day, so it should be built to take it. That means doing the unseen jobs properly — the boarding, the waterproofing, the levels — as well as the parts you'll look at.

Some people need a full bespoke room; plenty just need their existing bathroom refurbished and made to feel new again. Either way you'll get honest advice on what's worth doing, a price that doesn't move, and someone who answers the phone.

Good questions

Before you call

Do you charge for a quote?

No. We'll visit, measure up and talk through options, then send a written quote. There's no obligation to go ahead.

Can you work with a bathroom suite I've already bought?

Usually, yes. Let us know what you've got when you get in touch and we'll check it suits the room and the plumbing before we start.

What's the difference between a refurb and a refit?

A refurbishment keeps the existing layout and replaces the finishes and fittings. A full refit or bespoke bathroom starts from bare walls and can move things around. We'll tell you honestly which one your room needs.

Will I be without a bathroom the whole time?

We plan the job to keep the time without a working toilet or shower as short as possible, and we'll tell you up front which days will be affected.

Do you take away the old suite and waste?

Yes — strip-out and disposal of the old bathroom is included in the quote, and we leave the room clean at the end of the job.
